Unstable Client update 2 July 2016 – Maximum dynamic lights

Todays update to the Unstable client includes a new advanced graphics setting – Maximum dynamic lights.

With this setting you can scale the amount of light sources your client will try to render, with higher numbers being better performance and less lights, and lower numbers meaning more light sources.

If you experience heavy performance loss, please scale down this setting and try again.

  • New Rendering Engine!
  • Archery Keybinds now added
  • Bugfix – Birthday cakes now have flaming candles.
  • Bugfix – Epic curve skill values should no longer go over 100.
  • Bugfix – Toolbelts should not longer behave oddly with dropped or destroyed tools.
  • Bugfix – Casting Light Token is now possible with a player as the target.
  • Bugfix – Fixed issues where capitalized W’s cause incorrect caret positioning.
  • Bugfix – Shield of the Gone icon now displays the correct 30% Damage Reduction.

Patch Notes 07/APR/16

  • Made chance on getting rock when foraging depend on inverse skill. e.g. more likely to get it on low skill.
  • Added flatten and level actions to ceilings.
  • Removed the one-per-tile limitation on FSBs and BSBs.
  • Added strength requirement of 23 in order to cast Break Altar on the White light and Black light huge altars.
  • Change for harvest times so more likely to be in default week.
  • Status Effect icon for Resurrection Stone added.
  • Bugfix – Items dropped when on a bridge should no longer exceed the 100 limit.
  • Bugfix – Kingdom offices can now be set when the current holder is offline.

Renting, Marble statues and displays

  • Update for renting beds. Once a bed is rented only the renter should be able to use it for the next 24 RL hours (unless they rent a different bed, e.g. only one bed can be rented by one person at a time).
  • Added marble statues and displays for swords and axes.
  • Non-premiums players no longer block looting in PvP (added 23d Dec).
  • Added bonus back into decay rate for walls and floors when player is absent from server.
  • Removed additional (non-cooked) meat from hell scorpions.
  • Fix so flags and banners just show description (if they have one).
  • Made removing reinforcements to be never for enemies and unlawful players as was too easy.
  • Added the missing FUNGUS_TRAP, FUNGUS_SPELL, PAINRAIN and SCORN_OF_LIBLA keybinds.
  • Client: Fixed deed export orientation.

Bridges and transportation

  • It should now be possible to lead creatures and drive/ride from bridges high up into houses.
  • Fix for teleporting when moving out from floors onto steep tiles.
  • Added in ability to see who planted an item (using examine).
  • Fix so items and creatures that were on bridge when it was destroyed, loose their link to the bridge.
  • Made wall collisions wider, to remove the see through feature.
  • If there is only one possible item to craft, it is auto-selected in crafting window by default (like sand+clay).
  • Non-premiums gives less to no skill in pvp due to some exploitability.
  • Chaos server: In order to deal with alt problems, non-premiums can only respawn in permanent cities and pmk capitals until a better solution can be coded.
